The Food Truck Toy
We’ve all heard the expression “Don’t play with your food” but perhaps as we head to a more sustainable future, looking at renewable materials, playing with food may be a great path to sustainability in play.
Our fruits and veggies are grown, and I’ve met more than one household that struggles to finish consuming them before they go bad.
This is where The Food Truck comes in.
Taking inspiration from Mr. Potato Head, it lets children get creative by using different fruits to create different car shapes. After play is done, they can wash the fruits and eat them, keeping novelty high, keeping creativity high, and keeping nutrition fun.
Pick a fruit, stick it in (with some adult supervision), and have fun.
